Hi, Well... I find it a bit strange :-/ - Why do I get n/4 for only 2 packages? Does it now show progress for "removed" packages during an upgrade!? Not very intuitive, although maybe useful to see the order in which things were done. - What is this "0:" prepended to the package names? Apparently the ones I upgraded don't have epoch set, so that's not it, unless yum now explicitly shows how things are treated... but having it before the version would make more sense, no? $ sudo yum upgrade Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - i386 - freshrpms Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - i386 - os Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - i386 - updates Finding updated packages Downloading needed headers Finding obsoleted packages Resolving dependencies Dependencies resolved I will do the following: [update: 0:up2date-gnome-3.1.23.1-5.i386] [update: 0:up2date-3.1.23.1-5.i386] Is this ok [y/N]: y Getting up2date-gnome-3.1.23.1-5.i386.rpm Getting up2date-3.1.23.1-5.i386.rpm Calculating available disk space - this could take a bit up2date 100 % done 1/4 up2date-gnome 100 % done 2/4 up2date-gnome 1/4 up2date 2/4 Updated: 0:up2date-gnome-3.1.23.1-5.i386 0:up2date-3.1.23.1-5.i386 Transaction(s) Complete Matthias PS: Please, no need to cc: me, I'm on the list!
