I just installed yum on a rh72 machine. When issuing "yum update 'python*'" I get a neverending dependecies loop. Here is what i get with -d 4: <...> Updating python-devel bestarch i386 arch = i386 Updating python Resolving dependencies Updating: python-devel, i386 Updating: python, i386 conflict: python tkinter 1.5.2-43.72 conflict: setting tkinter to upgrade whee dep loop Updating: python-devel, i386 Updating: python, i386 conflict: python tkinter 1.5.2-43.72 conflict: setting tkinter to upgrade whee dep loop Updating: python-devel, i386 <until the doomsday> I get the same with yum update python, yum update python-devel, yum update tkinter I worked around this with yum update python python-devel tkinter, but does this work while yum entered that loop with any other command line?
