The best bet would be to do this (for 8.0) download the rpm 4.1.1 test packages, install them install the yum-phoebe daily build point to a yum repo of 9 (none posted yet afaict) run yum list updates make sure it reads it all correctly. it worked for me very nicely from phoebe3 to 9.
