Hi,
I was talking about the modification which can be done during the project implementation.
I just want to know what kind of back end capabilities should be added so I can create a good timeline for the project.
Thank you,
Irunika

Irunika,Regarding using the design in your linked blog (fedora.next-website-design) that is the working copy however if you can come up with a equally performing (or better) better UI I would personally not oppose as long as it was able to be generated withing the time scope of GSoC AND easily-ish maintained by yourself of one of us post-GSoC. Proposals are due in 4 days, 5 hours (1900 UTC thursday 25 March) If you are able to tie in the backend piece too even better.Regards,Corey W Sheldonskype:cwwsheldonFreelance IT Consultant, Multi-Discipline TutorFedora Ambassador,FamNA (corey84)City-Gate Server Team InternAmeridea LLC Founder, PresidentFind me elsewhere:Contact me securely:PGP: 0xCe2ad4c03a9eff1c FP= ba7e aeba 7c64 1eca f4b9 70a8 ce2a d4c0 3a9e ff1cPGP: 0x76ef54b9aed032e2 FP= 984e 1693 de66 2109 596c 0930 76ef 54b9 aed0 32e2Linphone: inuxmodderricochet:qxcgel5jqoqcb3q2btc:15cn1BvAFEREHk8UekJ6i9Dxi9Wbw6vzDD"Have no way as way, no limitation as limitation. Hi,
I'm a final year computer engineering undergraduate in department of
computer engineering, Faculty of Engineering, university of Peradeniya,
Sri Lanka. I'm very interested to work on the above mentioned project on
in this summer of code.
I completed my internship in WSO2 which is an open source middleware
company (It is also involved in GSOC for few years) and I'm very
interested to work in open source environment.
As well as I'm a web fan and I have worked with so much in
HTML/_javascript_/CSS, Jquery, AngularJS and Bootstrap as well. Most of
the things in backend was done using python Flask micro-framework and
its restful API. So I have hands on experience in Jinja 2 templates too.
I have done whole NLP project using Flask, Python, NLTK and some other
python libraries. So I'm very interested to involve in this project in
this summer.

So can you please guide me on the other things that should be done in
order to involve in this project?
Thank you,
Irunika
Hi Irunika! Welcome to the Fedora GSoC 2016 list. :)
Thanks for reaching out! Sounds like you have a good deal of experience working with web development, particularly with Python and Flask (something that I believe is pretty popular around these parts). Hope your final year of studies are going well!
Yes, Fedora Hubs IS listed as a GSoC project. Whether or not we get a slot for it will depend on a couple of things:
1) The number of mentors allocated to the project idea.
2) The number and strength of applicants we have applying for a slot.
3) The number of slots we are awarded by Google.
The best way to ensure that we DO get a slot for it is to follow the procedure described at the bottom of the GSoC organization page.

You have now introduced yourself to the summer-coding mailing list, so now we recommend checking out the various IRC channels (#fedora-summer-coding, #fedora-apps, and #fedora-commops), and then work with mentors to figure out your next steps.
We look forward to getting to know you!
