I don't have actual data (i'm switched from lvm thinp is about 1-1.5
year ago. But when we test it - sometimes qcow2 gave us better
performance when raw on fs and thin volume. If you increase number of
running vm on the same time performance of lvm thinp lowering.

Yes, we do something like this, but if you lost time when thin pool
has no space - all you vm stopped and you can lost you data inside vm!
So overcommit and vm on thin pool is really dangerous.
