Hi,

I have created a VM with the option inside virt-manager to "start virtual machine on host boot up". It is the only VM on the host to be configured this way. However, I am getting this error in the log file when it attempts to start it on boot up:

2017-06-19 07:15:18.824+0000: shutting down

However, when I start the VM manually through virt-manager, it starts up fine.

Now, if I remove all the spice-related "hardware", e.g. spice display, qxl video, spice channel and usb redirectors, and reboot the host PC, then I get the following:

2017-06-19 08:14:07.358+0000: starting up libvirt version: 2.0.0, (...)
LC_ALL=C PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin (...)

2017-06-19 08:14:33.670+0000: shutting down

So even this doesn't work -- if it doesn't fail to start, then something kills it anyway!!

Does anyone have any ideas why might it fail during boot-up? And is there anything I can do to solve the problem, or further diagnose it?

Chack the debug logs from the daemon:

Many thanks,

Andy
