Hi,

I lost someting. Before I install the libvirt0.8.7.tar.gz, i have installed 0.9.6, but i uninstall it by delete some files. So, maybe this is why i cannot install the version 0.8.7.

And i  have tried compile with --prefix=/usr, but it doesnot work . 

Please tell me about how to unistall it compeletly and install it.

compute with RHELD6.0 systerm;

the systerm comes with libvirt0.8.7,bu I uninstalled it and its dependencies .

And then i download the libvirt0.8.7.tar.gz , untar it ,configure --with-esx,make,make install.

 Guess you installed libvirt to /usr/local. Try compile with --prefix=/usr
and make install.

 

But I got an error like "libvirtd: /usr/local/lib/libvirt.so.0: version `LIBVIRT_PRIVATE_0.8.7' not found (required by libvirtd) " 

when i use virsh,or libvirtd.

 

Can someone tell me what is the error mean?
