Great to hear from you.  Hope all is well with you and yours?

Have discussed your suggestion with my client.  They do not wish to use a libvirt that has been modified for their ends.  Timestamp will therefore come from the Windows client!

There is no such feature in libvirt yet. But there is no reason why a
function like

   time_t virConnectGetCurrentTime(virConnectPtr conn);

could not be added to libvirt.
