Strictly speaking, yes but we just added the means for scripts to be able to do that so no chance of any external scripts out there (*if* they exist) that do that any time soon. What will make it even less likely this will break anything for anyone, would be to make your suggested changes soon and roll out a release. Feel free to help make that happen.
