I test it with full centos/sl dvd. anaconda still says "graphical installer is now available, running text mode"
really strange problem.On Tue, Oct 8, 2013 at 1:56 PM, <Matthew.Conley.CTR@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hmm, Let me run a test run at home when I get there. Ironically, as a Linux

Subject: Re: minimal installation and anaconda gui
Hi, sorry to be late,
It does not work again.
let my download full centos dvd1,2 and update repository. I used
64-x86_64-2013-03-18-Install-DVD.iso and want to test
SL-64-x86_64-2013-03-21-Everything-DVD1-2.iso.(as Matthew said)
let me emphasize that if I put all desktop package group in %package section
my iso runs in graphical mode correctly!!.
I want to have "minimal iso" that install in graphical mode and boot with
minimom packages in text mode!

I put these options in my ks file but it does not work!

anaconda says: no graphical installation is available, try
text mode!
I thinks it needs some program (rpm) to be add in packages
section of ks file.

Hi,
I'm not sure I
understand your question.
Are you trying to
have a minimal install but have the install happen in graphical as opposed
to text mode?
Can you state what
it is that you are trying to accomplish?
Cheers,
