[solved] load driver modules from inside a %pre script

I had to resort to searching the devices as described here:

I either fixed this by upgrading from EL5.4 to EL5.6, or by passing
"driverload=usb-storage" to the kernel via isolinux.cfg. Not sure which
because I made both changes at once (I suspect it was the later though).
