Hi, I have a requirement for a custom RHEL5.4 system that installs from a DVD, but only if a licence file is present on a USB stick. I've built the system as a custom kickstart DVD, and all is fine if the user installs in just the right way, but I have 2 problems: 1. On some systems (e.g. cciss), the drive appears as sda, on others it gets bumped to sdb because the main disk is sda. Is there some trick to finding the device name for a usb stick? 2. If the user doesn't have to USB drive inserted initially, I have to present a warning and ask them to insert it but by this time, there is no usb_storage driver so it doesn't appear as a drive. Modprobe does nothing. Any help with either of these would be much appreciated, but especially problem 2. I don't know how the anaconda system is loading the modules. Paul. _______________________________________________ Kickstart-list mailing list Kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/kickstart-list
