RPM not installing during Kickstart

Hello everyone,

I'm having the strangest issue with an install.

Without fail, the install always bombs out when trying to install the
(non-essential) OpenOffice package.

I've checked the RPM, and it's intact and in good shape. However, if I do a
'du -b' on the RPM on the install file server, and compare it with the number
of bytes download by the installer, the installer comes up short.

Why? What can I do to get around this? Is there some fault on the installation
client I should be looking for?

thanks,
Klaus
