You can view the messages in one of the other VTs ( alt-2, alt-3 ).

Another thing to try: use tcpdump on the NFS server and see what's going on.

Once we experienced weird flakiness with kickstart; turned out it was
the Cisco switch. Setting the STP on the port to "port-fast" fixed
that.
