Subject: upgrading kernel on boot cd

Does anyone have experience in upgrading the boot kernel for custom
Redhat CDs?

I've upgraded the 2.4.20-8BOOT CD to include unsupported drivers. Is
there a similar way to upgrade the Boot CD to use the latest errrata
version? I want to see if it fixes a problem with centrino chips.
