Cool... that is what I was wondering.
Thanks for the explanation Jeremy!

So I should probably not disable kudzu in my postinstall script.  At least
let it run one time after building the box.

The files don't exist after the package is installed because they are
marked as %ghost in the package.  They're just owned so that when they
get created by kudzu (well, updfstab to be pedantic), something owns
them.
