Kickstart needs access to the whole RedHat directory; both the RPMS and base directories. My directory structue is /var/redhat.disks/redhat-7.1/RedHat so I exported /var/redhat.disks My ks.cfg is in the redhat.disks directory so kickstart needs access to that. rpjday <rpjday@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To: kickstart list <kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx> m> cc: Sent by: Subject: what needs to be exported in an NFS-based ks install? kickstart-list-admin@ redhat.com 05/31/2002 01:05 PM Please respond to kickstart-list from the docs, it's clear that, when you specify an NFS server with an installation tree for kickstart, kickstart expects to find the directory structure RedHat/RPMS under the given directory nameD (ignoring the possibility of ISO images for the time being). but, technically, what has to be exported from the server side? the full directory? or just the <dir>/RedHat/RPMS directory? i guess, rephrasing this, does kickstart try to mount the directory name it's been given, *then* cd into RedHat/RPMS, or does it mount specifically the <dir>/RedHat/RPMS directory and take it from there? rday _______________________________________________ Kickstart-list mailing list Kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/kickstart-list
