Does the video card and memory get properly probed on an interactive
install?

I added the card type and as many other parameters I could thing of, and
it worked. I then removed the parameters until I got it down to a line with
the resolution, hsync, vsync and depth.

This does what I want it to do (i.e. install on the range of machines we have
here) but I am not sure if this a totally generic solution.

However it works for now, so thanks for the hint.
