It'd be helpfull if you said which version of RH you are kickstarting if it's 6.1 (as used by your globalsite stuff)[1], 6.2 or 7.x. IIRC there were some bugs with anaconda getting the ks.cfg off a cdrom boot image in pre 7.x (IIRC 7.1).
