It'd be helpfull if you said which version of RH you are kickstarting if
it's 6.1 (as used by your globalsite stuff)[1], 6.2 or 7.x.

IIRC there were some bugs with anaconda getting the ks.cfg off a cdrom
boot image in pre 7.x (IIRC 7.1).  You can either use the file:// and
have the ks.cfg on initrd or use cdrom:// thing to get over this

Actually from that mail 7.1 looks broken as well.
