Driver disk prompt?

Okay, here's a strange one. I have a kernel image based on
2.4.12-ac6 (long story) that I am using as the kickstart
kernel for a PXElinux install. Into this kernel I have
compiled the Adaptec AIC-7xxx driver v6.2.4, which is the
included driver for the SCSI card I am using in -ac6. Now,
previous kernels were failing miserably in this config,
oopsing when the driver failed to detect/work with the
installed Adaptec SCSI card. Now, this image actually
starts Anaconda, but it asks me if I have a driver disk.
Well, I don't because I shouldn't need a driver disk if
the driver is in the kernel right? Could it because I am
using RH's stock initrd (for the 2.4.2-2 kernel) as
opposed to a custom initrd for this kernel? I gotta keep
this thing from prompting for the driver and just finish
the Kickstart install.

TIA for any advice!
