What's your /etc/hosts.{allow,deny} look like, since RH had
the sense (?) to link libwrap.a into portmap?

You don't get any RPC timeouts during the process at all?

How is /usr/local exported (what options)? From the same 
Linux server as the Kickstart server is running on? Or are
they separate machines? What does a "showmount -e" on the
NFS server show? What version of portmap? Clean 7.1 install
(no upgrades or anything, standard "Everything" from CD or
network)?

Could you tcpdump the start of a Kickstart for me and 
send me the results? tcpdump -vv -i <interface> -s 192 -w ks.out
would be perfect, if you don't mind.
