I haven't had any problems.  Here's my syslinux.cfg:

DEFAULT ks
DISPLAY boot.msg
PROMPT 1
TIMEOUT 500
label ks
  kernel vmlinuz
  append vga=788 initrd=initrd.img lang= devfs=nomount ks=nfs:master.lab00.math.uh.edu:/usr/local/kickstart/ks.cfg

/usr/local is simply exported on the server:

/usr/local      *.lab00.math.uh.edu(rw)

rDNS is already set up for the IP range that the clients DHCP into (else
the export by name wouldn't work).

The server is plain Red Hat 7.1, nfs-utils is 0.3.1-5.
