Regarding adding your own rpm to the installation... You need to update the hdlist file in .../Redhat/base/hdlist with /usr/lib/anaconda-runtime/genhdlist You might like to read http://imsb.au.dk/~mok/linux/doc/RedHat-CD-5.html. It is a bit dated, but still very informative on how to update the CD image (even if you are leaving it, as I do, on an nfs kickstart server). > -----Original Message----- > From: hesselsp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hesselsp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Tuesday, 10 April, 2001 10:02 AM > To: kickstart-list@xxxxxxxxxx > Subject: coping files off the CD. > > > I want to copy a tar file off the CD. > > I can't do it in %pre because the harddrive partitions > aren't mounted yet. > I can't do it in %post because its in the chroot environment > > So I tried making an rpm with the files that I want, but > anaconda crashes > saying that my rpm is unavailable.
