Wrt NAT'ing... If the overlord can communicate with each minion based on a different port (not sure if this is possible) then it could work easily if port forwarding is possible on the NAT device.  

That is, if nat1 and nat2 are both behind the NAT (nat0) and the router port forwards traffic for 11111 to nat1 (to the usual funcd port) and forwards 22222 to nat2 then the overlord could reach each minion by communicating with nat0 over their forwardable port (11111 and 22222).  

However, from what I recall, the port can be customized but needs to be the same throughout, so it probably wouldn't work.
