Yep, I noticed that¹ and mentioned it in #fedora-websites as the reason I held off on pushing this change. Though to be fair, the registration has existed for a long time and wasn't mentioned previously. Adding it seems like a fine idea, but the bug in question was specifically about the switch from Pidgin to Empathy. And Eric's patch don't cause any regressions in the help text. It seems reasonable to treat the lack of information on registration as a separate bug/missing feature. I'm sure patches are welcome there too.
