People tend to think of '!' in US English as being an indicator of enthusiasm, but in other cultures that punctuation can indicate a direct instruction or even a commanding tone. For that reason, they really shouldn't be used on official web sites. Most sites would simply indicate "Download XYZ now" instead of "Download XYZ now!".
