Several people (and myself) have reproduced this at home as well (but no
luck yet on finding out the cause).  I got somebody to try it on a
Firefox 3 (probably some alpha version) on a windows machine, and they
did not see this problem.

Any CSS people here, try to play around with the CSS and see if we can
hit on what causes it.  It might even end up being some sort of Gecko
bug (or something silly that we have set).
