You have to set the default OS in the BIOS > and use the BIOS boot menu to boot the other one. And depending on your motherboard, that boot menu could be having to hit a key and delve into it to change settings, or always pop up some boot choices for a few seconds before booting a particular one by default. Mine's the latter, although I don't dual boot. Then, when it boots in Linux, you can set up GRUB similarly. Always booting the default option without a menu, or hitting a key to bring up the menu, or always showing a menu for a few seconds before booting into a default option, or just sitting there at a menu (I think this can be done). Mine's set to show a menu for a couple of seconds then boot the default. That gives me enough time to change something, if I want, without keyboard hammering. -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 4 14:43:51 UTC 2024 x86_64 Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted.
