This with respect to a Dell Precision 5690 with Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Intel Arc graphics. Everything worked perfectly with Fedora 41 up to the update that first installed a kernel > 6.11.4. Then the boot process stopped before the login prompt appeared and I had to use a hard reboot. This also happens with the 6.12 kernels. I tried Rawhide with the 6.13 kernel and there I could indeed log in again but Rawhide was too flaky to continue using. So I just fixed Fedora to always boot the 6.11.4 kernel and everything again works perfectly. I could continue this way until Fed 42 (and hope that nothing changes for the worst) but I would like to investigate the cause (and report a bug) but the problem is I have no idea what to look for. Judging from journalctl output there could be quite a number of problems but I have no idea what could trigger this behaviour. Anybody with experience with Intel Ultra Core 155H processors and Intel Arc graphics have any ideas. Suggestions appreciated.
