Isn't DNF5 part of Fedora 41, which is not yet released?

Sorry to be obtuse, and I haven't read this entire rather long thread,
but I can't help wondering if you wouldn't be better just doing a
reinstall. I think you said you'd been updating for over 10 years (?)
so it might clear out a lot of cruft. Apologies if that has already
been suggested/rejected.

Anyway, just my 2c.
