I'm sorry I missed your message. Actually after 3 days the problem disappeared. It hasn't resurfaced yet (and could probably be an update which fixed it) but I'll keep this message in mind next time it comes back.
` journactl -b N' can be used to compare before and after entries related to an issue. Find the right searchterms is an art, but knowing what to look for in the journal if it happens again can be helpful.
Problem occured after the last update but a restart fixed it (maybe a logging out would have worked too?). I see there is -b in your journalctl command. Actually the problem occurs only once logged in, not in GDM at all. Is the -b still required?
