Some overzealous RHAT employees are pushing incompatible and apparently insufficently changes into released Fedoras.
IMNSHO, it's time to demand FESCO to take consequences against these persons.
I have a hard time believing this was done by a Red Hat employee at Red Hat’s behest, since Red Hat is mostly concerned with GNOME and the vlc change was being included in a KDE change.
This accusation is being thrown around, as some sort of malicious action. It was, at best, poor communication between Fedora packagers and RPMfusion, and delays in packages being released during a period when many people are spending time with their family and not paying attention to packaging drama.
Just to be clear, I didn't attribute any malice to this, merely lack of
communication. And actually, I should have checked the rpmfusion koji
before commenting on that as well. There are builds done, but not fully
pushed, so it's merely a timing issue between the two repos.
