Am I correct about the USB ports?
Charging ports may (or may not) carry data. It depends on the pin
configuration. See
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_hardware#USB_battery_charging .
You should check the technical specs of the laptop, or look at the
pins connected on the motherboard.
The manual (I actually found it) has the same information I gave the list.
My guess is that the laptop has two USB 3.0 data ports,
one of which takes a USB C connector.
My guess is that the USB 3.1 Gen 1 charging port is not a data port.
Otherwise data would have been mentioned.
I'd prefer to know.
BTW HP or newegg has done a better job than most.
On rather a lot of laptops, discovering its ports is a god-awful pain.
If I go to a store with physical laptops,
the ports are never listed.
I have to physically inspect the device.
As the device is nailed down and I do not own anything with a USB 3 port,
recognizing USB 3 ports is a pain.
