No, I get a blank. Nothing comes back (just the cursor).

This file does not exist on my system (both F37 or F38).

Here is what I get when I search for the file:

$ sudo dnf provides */updmap.cfg

But for the epoch numbers, etc that have changed in F38 from F37, the files are the same in F37.

But I now do not understand why the file compiles for you on F38, and not for me.
