I used to have one of these with Fedora. I forget what version stopped
having a 32-bit alternative but I eventually switched it to Mint for
that reason. I remember installing a cheap SSD and seeing a huge speed
improvement. Mine had 2GB of RAM though.
I have a EEE 901 for a more advanced use, if I can figure out why after
running a while, the f key just starts sending. I can see this in a
terminal window. I think I have a thermal problem with the f key...
I can live with the 701 with F17 and Gnome, but I would rather use
Xfce. Will have to look to see if I have a F25 install disk in my archives.
