 Ok, how can I check this?

The font used in Konsole is set in the Profile.

From the menu choose Settings/Manage Profiles...

Pick the default profile (if you have more then one).

Choose Edit... Look in the Appearance section.

The font that is used is show at the bottom of the "Colour scheme & font" tab.

In my setup the default profiles can't be edited/viewed (see the attachment,
the edit option is grayed out).

Anyway I created a new one that I suppose it is cloned by the default one. The value for font is "DejaVu Mono" as system wide. I switched to the new profile and still the characters are not displayed. I have also tried with other font
families without any lucky.

Other suggestions?
FYI my font is DejaVu Sans Mono. Is that what you have?

What are the characters that do not display?

Can you provide the UTF-8 so that I can try it for myself?

If you are not sure how to do that I suggest that you do this:

$ <app> > output.txt
$ od -cx output.txt

Then you can put the post the output here, assuming its not to large so that
I can dig out the UTF-8 and try to duplicate the issue.
