For source rpms you need to setup a ~/.rpmmacros file to tell it where to put the unpacked source, then a command like rpm -ihv whatever.src.rpm will install a bunch of tar files in the install directory, then you'll need to go to the SPECS directory where the source was installed do something like rpmbuild -bp cdrkit.spec which will unpack all the source and apply all the patches so you can actually examine the source files. (Lots of other options on rpmbuild). Dealing with source rpms the first time is always a confusing experience, but you can probably find better documentation than this short message. _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
