My best theory is that the kernel doesn't properly reset the device from scratch, but assumes it was left in some state which the old kernel didn't leave it in. But that's just a wild guess (and I've never worked up the energy to try booting the old kernel then rebooting into the new kernel to see if it happens again, mainly because I suspect it wouldn't :-). _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
