It seems not to be under /usr/share/fonts .
find /usr -name '*vetica*'
doesn't.
You can't rely on legacy font names as there have been multiple "clones",
often supporting additional languages (hence the need to specify a
language).
The fontconfig system provides aliases for the legacy Adobe names.

I expect a database somewhere connects Helvetica with NimbusSans-Regular.otf .
That still leaves the question of whether
gvim's printing font can be changed.
