You need to remove the i686 package to allow the x86_64 package to
install. Looks like it is obsolete, but you can try to install it
after the update completes. It probably won't be available anymore.
Or, you can try --allowerasing, and the transaction should remove the
i686 package.
It seems to be tangentially needed by steam so erasing the package could
have unwanted side effects...
Right, that's why --allowerasing works better, because the updated
packages don't need it. This came up in the release update testing
thread which was probably on the test list.
