in /etc/sysconfig/selinux I have "SELINUX=disabled"
looking in about:performance isn't showing me too much. I did create a
new profile today and I'll see how that one is.

If SELinux were the issue, there would be alerts. And if that's
what's suspected, it would be far easier just to put it into
permissive mode first and see what happens.
