Trying to perform a fresh install of F35 on my (wife's) X1 Carbon 6th

I "burned" the usb as usual with livecd-iso-to-disk --format --reset-mbr
Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-35-1.2.iso /dev/sdb1 but that doesn't
start at all and cycle within the Boot Bios selection. When I add --efi
to it, it seems to boot but after stalling with a _ in the upper left
corner of the screen, goes back to the red Lenovo logo from startup and
stays there.
If you edit the boot command line and remove the "quiet", what does it
get to? If you get the plymouth boot screen, press ESC. I tried
creating a live USB with the F35 workstation iso and it also got stuck,
trying to find the root partition I think. I used the exact same
options on the same USB stick but with the F34 iso and it booted fine,
so that's what I ended up installing to start with. I was going to send
an email to this list about it, but I wanted to do some more testing
first. For example, trying it with the netinst image instead.
