I also tested to explicitly disabling version 4 in /etc/nfs.conf, i.e.
vers4=n In that case I got a different error message, I got "mount(2):
Protocol not supported" in the client. Previously I had gotten
"mount(2): Permission denied"
Well, I'm sorry but I'm out of ideas.
I can mount file systems hosted on a Centos7 server from an F33 client with no problems with nfsv4.
I can't figure out how to create the problems you're seeing without modification to configuration options.
My only suggestion now would be if you have another F33 system you can use to mount and test to
make sure it isn't a client issue.
