I'm subscribed to the x.org mailing list. It's getting a steady trickle of mailing list traffic, and, from the looks of it, prompt replies from maintainers and/or contributors.
X.org is a mature, stable product. Barring a completely new version of X11 popping out somewhere, and new hardware coming out, there's really not much to do with it.
