I recently built a new computer and Fedora is my only operating system.
As far as I know, everything is hooked up properly, and the computer
is working nominally.
I installed the package "sysbench" and did two operations: "sysbench memory run" and
"sysbench cpu run", and after about 30 seconds, it listed a bunch of numbers,
which I have no idea what they mean. I have looked at glances and htop
and cpu-x and have not yet learned what all the numbers mean, but things
look okay.
What are some other things I can do to see what all is going on?
At first I could not get my G-Skill RAM to the advertised speed of 3200 MHz. but
after enabling the D.O.C.P. thing, it seems to work fine at 3200 MHz. I opened up a bunch
of programs and turned on a three-hour YouTube video and left and came back and
my cpu is still at a low temp of around 31 degrees C. ( I have lots of fans )
Obviously, I could try to play some fancy on-line games. I haven't yet learned how to do that,
but it is on my list of things to do. TORCs is probably the heaviest game I have tried.
