Yes. At first I couldn't bring up that list, but it eventually came up and I set it to sysdefault, which is ALSA. I selected the same thing for the Recording Device and set it to Stereo, as the microphone is supposed to be an internal Stereo mic. That brought up the green bars, and Recording actually worked.
