I love Linux/GNU/OS. Fedora rocks. I really appreciate the work the devs and support people do.
But... I'm really losing my patience with the whole HDMI sound bug situation. It has been a problem since May, 2019 IIRC. It appears that one aspect gets fixed and that breaks something elsewhere.
Can we not just revert the whole code in question to what it was back when it worked until someone has a chance to properly fix things ?
As far as I am concerned things have gotten a lot worse. HDMI sound used to need resetting because it appeared the buffer got corrupted from time to time. Now it takes 5 minutes to get sound working at all and this has to be repeated every time you log out or the computer goes to sleep.
