Since I did a *LITTLE* CFD in college I decided to take a look and as I expected OpenFOAM will likely not be easy to package...
1. It's designed to install to $HOME or /opt (but I believe that can be modified).
2. It uses a custom build system (wmake) and the documentation seems to indicate that it builds and installs all in one shot. Not a roadblock but that does conflict with the %build %install process we use in spec files.
There's other smaller issues (for how little I looked into it, may be more big problems).
As the packaging would be non-trivial, someone who uses the package would be the best maintainer for said package.
Thanks,
Richard
