In the good 'ol days when I was an AWIPS programmer, I learned the advantage of a 2-monitor workstation. At least a decade ago, published human factors research confirmed that a 2-monitor system improves productivity about 40%. But it's easy to lose the cursor when there's so much display real-estate. It's been my experience for years that xeyes really helps find and keep track of the trackball pointer's location. I've also seen other people get a kick out of the xeyes when they see them on my monitors. If you have enough space on your screen, give it a try! I wish xsnow would work on my workstation, but it doesn't. No real practical value, but a neat novelty.
