Or am I doing something wrong, has any one else had this problem?
Using an existing gmail account I was unable to get the T-Bird supplied by Fedora to authenticate
and use it.
I downloaded the latest T-Bird from Mozilla and had no problems to use the existing gmail with it.
Additionally, the T-Bird from Fedora didn't recognize that I had configured the account.
Suggest you file a BZ.
Oh, well. I went ahead and submitted https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1772731
